“Montreal-born Missy Peregrym may be the daughter of a minister but she is certainly not camera shy. Before landing the lead role of Andy McNally in the popular Canadian police drama, Rookie Blue, the young actress appeared in a variety of TV shows, including The Dark Angel, opposite Jessica Alba. TORO caught up with Ms. Peregrym just in time to bring you this exclusive gallery to get you primed for the premiere of Rookie Blue‘s second season on June 16.”

It was so much fun to get Golden Globe Winner, Sally Hawkins, ready for 2 days of press at TIFF 2010. She was SO sweet and extremely down to earth. The AMAZING Celebrity Makeup Artist, Alice Kilpatrick, did her makeup and I did her hair.

On the red carpet for “Made In Dagenham.”

Some GLAMOUR for the Red Carpet at night! Looking Dazzling for the “Submarine” Premiere. Hollywood Waves and Smoky Eyes.

Hilarious!!!! Was awesome working with these guys for the FUBAR II Premiere for TIFF 2010. I can’t tell when they are in character or just being themselves.

Ivy: ” Can I help you with your wig?”

David Lawrence: “Be very careful, it’s from 1994.”

Small world! I also bumped into Katia Taylor, Photographer Extraordinaire and one of my brides 🙂

Sarah Lian has taken Hong Kong, Malaysia, and Singapore by storm. This Sexy siren has grace the pages of FHM and Flare Magazine.

I shot with Sarah years ago, when she still lived in Canada. She is visiting Toronto for a short period of time, so we put together a daring photo shoot!

Sexy, Steamy, and in a dirty Motel Room?  I absolutely love how the photos turned out!

Who knew, that big wild hair and black kohl liner can make such a difference?

Shot by the amazing Sai Sivanesan and Wardrobe by the ever so stylish Christine Brant.

The 2010 Winter Games are only a few days away!

There has been much excitement and hype about the Vancouver Games in the years leading up to this event.

For me, the most exciting part is hearing the official theme song for the Olympic Games broadcast!

“I Believe”, is co-written by Stephan Moccio, and performed by 15 year old Nikki Yanofsky.

I have had the chance to work with the talented and charming Stephan Mioccio, twice now!

This Canadian pianist, composer, producer, arranger and recording artist has also co-written Celine Dion‘s 2002 hit “A New Day Has Come” and has also worked with artists such as Sarah Brightman, and Josh Groban.

In 2006, Stephan released his début album of solo piano music, entitled “Exposure”, my favourite track on this album is “October“.

Take a look at some photos from our shoot last year, photographed by Andy Lee!

Last week, I got a call from Andy Lee, to set up another photo shoot with Stephan.

This time we got to spend the day with him, in his studio in Toronto’s King Street East. Stay tuned for the new photos, soon to be released!

All 3 versions of “I Believe”, written by Stephan Moccio and Alan Frew, are now available for purchase on iTunes! Versions include performances by Nikki Yanofsky (English), Annie Villeneuve (French), and a piano-centric version from Stephan Moccio (Instrumental).

She is taking Hollywood by storm!

I had the pleasure of working with actress, Katheryn Winnick, for another editorial for TORO Magazine.  This Sultry siren shares the screen with Paul Giamatti in Cold Souls, a dark comedy about Giamatti’s fictional alter ego, and Killers starring Katherine Heigl and Ashton Kutcher.

And…of course, it’s always a pleasure to work with Toronto’s Top Glamour Photographer, Mr. Philip Brideaux, this time we shot at the amazing Loki Lounge, the perfect setting for the stylish wardrobe by Christine Vieira, for The Artist Group Ltd. Christine pulled pieces from Canadian designers such as, Andy Thê-Anh, and jewellery from the Alynne Lavigne Collection, as well as, pieces by Jimmy Choo and Sonia Rykiel for H&M.

I created a Classy but Sexy makeup look for Katheryn, using all metallic eyeshadows. She had such smooth and flawless skin, all she needed was light foundation and a little highlight! I wanted to bring more attention to her eyes,we achieved this by adding a pair of “naughty & spiky” false lashes. Then added a coat of gun metal lacquer on her finger nails for a finishing touch! Click here for the full story.

Look for Katheryn Winnick’s upcoming film,  Love and Other Drugs, starring Jake Gyllenhaal!

I was booked to groom a country musician who needed promotional photos. I assumed it would  just be an ordinary day on set, but boy was I caught of guard.

I arrived at Photographer Victor Tavares‘ studio, to find out it was, Johnny Reid.

This soft spoken musician brought his guitar as a prop for one of his photo sets. During down time, he played his guitar and sang for us. It was like nothing that I had heard before. His powerful voice filled the entire white concrete studio. He sang with passion and his sincerity, his artistry truly inspired me. I was also fortunate enough to meet Johnny’s mother, who was also on set.  You can tell that his mother was so proud of him, as she listened to him sing. Here are some of the photos from our shoot!

My first impression of Johnny, was that he looked like the friendly guy next door…with a Scottish accent. I thought, pretty distinct for a country artist, but it was his talent, passion for music, and his love for his family that truly made him unique.

I recently watched the 2009 CCMA Awards, I am so happy that Johnny’s hard work has paid off!

He is the recipient of the 6 awards, Album of the Year, Male Artist of the Year, Fans’ Choice Award, CMT Video of the Year, Top Selling Canadian Album, and Songwritters. Go Johnny Go!

Every year Victoria’s Secret has their $10 million+ Fashion Show around the Holiday Season. How can you miss out on all the glamourous Hollywood A-Listers in the front row and the BLINGing bras? It’s broadcasted in over 90 countries, and I too, sat in front of the TV to see the supermodels strut down the runway.

I got to see a familiar face in the bunch, Behati!

I had the priviledge to work with Super Model Coco Rocha and Behati Prinsloo for Holt Renfrew‘s first ever video vignette. I assisted the amazing celebrity makeup artist, Jackie Shawn, on this amazing project. This video was shot by Geoff Barrenger at the Gladstone hotel in Toronto. There was not much makeup assisting needed but I did get to do their manicures and powder their noses 🙂

They filmed Coco and Behati running around the Gladstone with vintage suitcases, playing dress up and even had a pillow fight!

Here is the Final Edit of the Video!

Behind the scenes, there were 8 full rolling racks of couture, Valentino, Dior, Gucci, Alexander Wang, YSL, Furs, etc… you name it…Tables of jewelry, watches, makeup, giant perfume bottles! Endless tables of bags, clutches and row on rows of sky-high boots and crazy shoes. Everything was estimated to be over half a million dollars! The supermodels got to choose whatever they wanted to wear, have fun, and run around… just girls being girls.

Just a small part of the wardrobe I managed to get a few pictures of…

Today was a really fun Shoot! I arrive at Pie in the Sky Studio for my 11:00am call time. We were shooting stills for a new TV show. The show was kinda like Highschool Musical meets teenage aliens.

The cast was extremely sweet and sincere! They even helped to steam each other’s wardrobe! It was fun to work with the wonderful Greg Van Riel again on tis assignment.

Couldn’t take any photos of the actual set, but here I am in the Makeup Room!

We are shooting a TV show called “Fresh Life” which will be airing on Sun TV in the next few months. Hosts Marty Galin and Kaveeh Shoman takes us around the city, and shows us everything about fresh eating and healthy living.

The crew was shooting on location today at the world famous St. Lawrence Market. Showcasing the different varieties of sprouts from Uncle George’s Place. Locally and Organically grown, they taste fresh, crunchy, some are even spicy and nutty!

Marty swears by them! Doesn’t he look great? He just lost 40 pounds!

Speaking of pounds, I managed to only carry a small grooming kit today! Just a set bag, my brushes, and my purse. I should really do this more often, I think my regular kit weighs more than 40 pounds!
