During the coldest of snowstorms last winter, it made perfect sense to have a bikini shoot in a sauna.

In a lovely mansion north just of Toronto, model Jennifer Steele posed in Spring/Summer 2011 swimwear trends, including a bikini by German-Canadian swimwear designer Katharine Demarchelier paired with a vibrant scarf by Italian fashion powerhouse Missoni.

Another look was pulled together by color accents, including a string bikini by New York based designer Mara Hoffman for RAC. The hot pink strings of the patterned bikini paired with a matching shade of neon toe polish demanded that makeup take a backseat to the loud pops of pink.

By keeping the smoky eye void of harsh lines and dark brows, making lip color bright but sheer and using a highlighter with a dewy finish, the makeup helped keep things subtly glamorous.

The 2010 Winter Games are only a few days away!

There has been much excitement and hype about the Vancouver Games in the years leading up to this event.

For me, the most exciting part is hearing the official theme song for the Olympic Games broadcast!

“I Believe”, is co-written by Stephan Moccio, and performed by 15 year old Nikki Yanofsky.

I have had the chance to work with the talented and charming Stephan Mioccio, twice now!

This Canadian pianist, composer, producer, arranger and recording artist has also co-written Celine Dion‘s 2002 hit “A New Day Has Come” and has also worked with artists such as Sarah Brightman, and Josh Groban.

In 2006, Stephan released his début album of solo piano music, entitled “Exposure”, my favourite track on this album is “October“.

Take a look at some photos from our shoot last year, photographed by Andy Lee!

Last week, I got a call from Andy Lee, to set up another photo shoot with Stephan.

This time we got to spend the day with him, in his studio in Toronto’s King Street East. Stay tuned for the new photos, soon to be released!

All 3 versions of “I Believe”, written by Stephan Moccio and Alan Frew, are now available for purchase on iTunes! Versions include performances by Nikki Yanofsky (English), Annie Villeneuve (French), and a piano-centric version from Stephan Moccio (Instrumental).

Although the holidays have long been over. Still can’t over how fun it was to shoot Toro Magazine’s Lingerie Editorial. Take look at some of the behind the scenes photos with Priscilla Caripan and Eikona Photography. Thank you again to Candace French for helping me out on set that day!

Plus a video shot and edited by Toro’s video Producer, Tony Felgueiras.

I was booked to groom a country musician who needed promotional photos. I assumed it would  just be an ordinary day on set, but boy was I caught of guard.

I arrived at Photographer Victor Tavares‘ studio, to find out it was, Johnny Reid.

This soft spoken musician brought his guitar as a prop for one of his photo sets. During down time, he played his guitar and sang for us. It was like nothing that I had heard before. His powerful voice filled the entire white concrete studio. He sang with passion and his sincerity, his artistry truly inspired me. I was also fortunate enough to meet Johnny’s mother, who was also on set.  You can tell that his mother was so proud of him, as she listened to him sing. Here are some of the photos from our shoot!

My first impression of Johnny, was that he looked like the friendly guy next door…with a Scottish accent. I thought, pretty distinct for a country artist, but it was his talent, passion for music, and his love for his family that truly made him unique.

I recently watched the 2009 CCMA Awards, I am so happy that Johnny’s hard work has paid off!

He is the recipient of the 6 awards, Album of the Year, Male Artist of the Year, Fans’ Choice Award, CMT Video of the Year, Top Selling Canadian Album, and Songwritters. Go Johnny Go!

It’s finally up! I have been waiting so long for this editorial. Well, it’s now online and just in time for Christmas!

This is my first editorial feature for TORO Magazine, I got to do the Hair Styling, the Makeup, and even the Wardrobe! With the help of my talented assistant Candace French, of course.

We shot the lovely Priscilla Caripan at the beautiful Gladstone Hotel in the Queen West Neighbourhood.

I got to work with my favorite Glamour Photographer in Toronto, Eikona Photography.

Our inspiration for this lingerie guide, was all things Holiday, we wanted to bring the cozy feeling of staying indoors while there was a snow storm just outside the windows.

Check back soon for behind the scenes at this TORO Magazine Photo shoot.

My busy Fashion Week is finally over, and I did not get a chance to see any shows this season.

I regret that I also missed out on a “Circus” themed Fashion show by Lucian Matis, and his After party.

However, I am so glad that I got to work with renowned photographer Arline Malakian again for an Exhibition.

Arline is Matis’s associate director and collaborator, it only makes sense to hold a Photography Exhibition along side Lucian’s Fashion Week After party, organized by the wonderfully talented Candice&Alison.

Here is a look at my first photo shoot with a real elephant!

A brief look at my collaboration with Arline Malakian’s Exhibition Last year, THE GAZE.

Working with Arline is a true inspiration, we all work as a team.  Painting sets, Wardrobe, Hair, Makeup, and even my fiance Craig (a chef by trade) made a wire head pice?
